When a roof turns green

On November 16, 2011 the AV ware house roof of Abbit meeting support changed colour: from the red roof surface to green solar panels.
At ABBIT we walk the talk: these 41 panels cover about half our electricity consumption and reduce our carbon foot print with several tons a year. Since our electricity consumption is also managed to go down, this makes us more sustainable, and also saves us money.
We attack the energy issue on both fronts:
- via our growing solar panel numbers on the production side and
- via investing in low energy equipment on the consumption side.
Our electric car is now fully running on solar energy and therefore independent of fossil fuels.
